We do not draw what we see — we draw what we have learned to see.
These workshops begin with unlearning: the slow, patient practice
of looking honestly at the world in front of us, and letting the hand
follow where the eye leads.

Workshop One: The Art of Looking
Graphite and watercolour. Blind contour drawing, sustained observation, and a restrained first encounter with watercolour wash. The broad eye, opened wide.

Workshop Two: Dwelling in Detail
Graphite and watercolour. One object, studied in depth across the morning — tonal drawing in the morning, colour in the afternoon. The same tools, used more slowly.

What the Day Holds
• Guided drawing exercises from slow and observational to sustained and close
• Working with graphite and watercolour
• Readings from John Ruskin and John O’Donohue
• Natural objects from a curated still life collection
• Time for quiet, independent making alongside group reflection
• No experience required – only curiosity

Workshops are offered individually or as a connected pair
Single workshop €60  •  Two workshops €100 (payable in advance)
